Three Suspects Arrested, Accused of Vandalizing Cars in Washington Township, NJ
Law enforcement in Washington Township, NJ recently arrested three people who allegedly vandalized motor vehicles parked on township streets. The suspects also reportedly committed acts of vandalism in Washington Borough, New Jersey.
The three suspects are a 21-year-old Phillipsburg man, an 18-year-old Washington Township man, and a 20-year-old Washington Township woman. According to authorities, the suspects destroyed property around 7:00 a.m. on August 10, 2017.
The three suspects allegedly targeted cars parked on streets in Washington Township and Washington Borough and used knives to puncture tires on the vehicles.
The total amount of the damage caused to the motor vehicles was reportedly in excess of $2,000.
Detectives with the Washington Township Police Department investigated the vandalism and eventually identified the three suspects as the possible culprits.
Now the suspects are in police custody and face numerous criminal charges, including charges for criminal mischief, burglary, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a knife, tampering with evidence, and conspiracy.
