Wantage NJ Man Charged with Assault, Allegedly Stabbed Friend
Police officers recently arrested a Wantage Township man accused of violently attacking someone at a local residence.
The suspect is a 21-year-old man from Wantage, New Jersey. According to authorities, the suspect and the 20-year-old victim got into an argument over money at a party on Sunday.
The suspect reportedly forced his way into the home of the victim the following day and then attacked the man with a knife.
The suspect allegedly used the deadly weapon to stab the victim multiple times. The victim’s parents reportedly saw the assault and restrained the suspect until Wantage NJ cops and New Jersey State troopers could arrive at the scene and take the suspect into custody.
The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with numerous crimes, including second degree aggravated assault, second degree burglary, and simple possession of marijuana.
Meanwhile, the stabbing victim was transported to Morristown Medical Center in Morristown NJ and treated for his injuries. Officials have not yet indicated the current medical status of the victim.
After being arrested and processed, the suspect was remanded to the Sussex County Jail.
